The Journal of Machine Learning Innovations and Artificial Intelligence Horizons (JMLIAIH) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and maintaining the integrity of its scientific content. The journal follows best practices as outlined by organizations such as the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers—are expected to adhere to these ethical guidelines.
For Authors
- Originality and Plagiarism:
Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published elsewhere. Proper citations must be provided for any content derived from other works. - Authorship Criteria:
All authors listed should have significantly contributed to the research and writing process. Individuals who made minor contributions should be acknowledged separately. - Data Integrity:
Authors are required to present accurate data and disclose any manipulation or fabrication. Supporting data must be provided upon request. - Conflicts of Interest:
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the research. - Multiple Submissions:
Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable.
For Editors
- Fair and Impartial Decision-Making:
Editors are responsible for evaluating manuscripts based on their academic merit, without discrimination based on the authors' race, gender, religious belief, or institutional affiliation. - Confidentiality:
Editors must not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or the publisher. - Conflict of Interest:
Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where they have a conflict of interest. - Ethical Oversight:
Editors should take appropriate actions if ethical concerns arise regarding a submitted or published paper, including retractions or corrections if necessary.
For Reviewers
- Confidentiality:
Reviewers must keep all information regarding the manuscripts confidential and refrain from sharing or discussing the work with unauthorized parties. - Objectivity:
Reviews should be conducted objectively and provide constructive feedback to improve the quality of the manuscript. - Conflict of Interest:
Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist. - Acknowledgment of Sources:
Reviewers should ensure that authors have appropriately cited relevant published work and report any instances of suspected plagiarism or ethical misconduct.
For the Publisher
- Integrity and Accountability:
The publisher is committed to ensuring that ethical guidelines are upheld throughout the publication process. - Addressing Misconduct:
The publisher will work with editors to investigate allegations of misconduct, ensuring fair and transparent resolution. - Archiving and Accessibility:
The publisher ensures the long-term availability and accessibility of published content.
Ethical Violations:
In cases of ethical violations, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate action, including retraction of the manuscript, notification of the authors' institutions, and reporting to relevant authorities. These measures aim to maintain the trust of the academic community and uphold the integrity of the research.
